Humans in the Varghast Empire, are forbidden from becoming soldiers. They are allowed to become Enforcers (police officers), but never soldiers. However, if they truly wish to join the army, they must sacrifice something: their humanity.
Karen is a young woman who is tired of living in the city and is tired of trying to make end's meet. Rather than continue what feels like a redundant cycle, she applies for the military's Lycan Corps: a military branch composed of Werewolves.
On her first few days, Karen is able to experience the raw potential of a Werewolf. She is able to see the outside world, perform missions easily and is even able to pay most of her bills. It was great, at first. However, as she climbs up the ranks, Karen quickly realizes the burdening duty that all members of the military must bear.
After a series of successful missions, Karen is now thrown into a battlefield against the UFF, or the United Federation of Flags. Unlike the Varghast Empire that relies on dark magic, the UFF relies on scientific monstrosities. She fights zombies, mutated beasts, androids and other nightmares brought to life through science. Will she survive this decision she has made, or will her name be one of the millions embedded in the Grand Memorial?
