As I ran my small, narrow fingers through my knotted hair I could feel a new beginning wave over me.
It's been weeks since Edward left, since when he left me in the dark, since he left me in the crowded woods of my mind.
Today I felt a new sensation come over me like the first hints of autumn breezes breaking through the dense summer air. Today, as I sat in my,newly reappropriated, spot next to Jessica in the cafeteria, I felt the hairs on my neck stand up. I swiftly turned my head around to inspect what had awoken this tingling sensation within me, hoping it was my Edward.
I quickly saw that it was a tall, shapely, perfectly-molded boy with dark hair and dark eyes. I could see his golden, auburn eyes beaming, the same eyes that Edward used dawned on me. I watched him take a seat by himself in that same back table that the Cullens, and once myself, would sit at. I saw his large muscles tense when he pressed his veiny hands down on the table to assist him with sitting down. I, after too many seconds to be seen as polite, whipped my head around with the realization that I appeared to be creepy. Yet, through the corner of my eye, I could see him staring right back at me.
My heart was pulsating within my chest. A boy had not made me feel so shaken since Edward left. I was unsure as to how I would get to know him, but one thing was for certain, I had to get to know him.
