Trinity State never sleeps.
Beneath its neon skyline, corporations rule from glass towers, criminals thrive in the shadows, and corruption flows through every street.
When finance mogul Harold Cooper is found brutally murdered on the 169th floor of his own headquarters, veteran detective Walker is assigned to the case. The killing is unlike anything he's encountered in twenty-five years on the force. The victim's eyes, tongue, and heart have been removed with surgical precision, and the only clue left behind is a black card marked with a clock.
As Walker digs deeper into Cooper's life, he begins to uncover secrets that someone was willing to kill to protect.
In Trinity State, the truth is never found in the light.
It hides beneath the neon.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
Neon Lights is a pilot story set in a larger world I've been developing.
This story follows a single investigation and serves as an introduction to Trinity State, Detective Walker, and the mysteries hidden within the city.
If readers enjoy the story and world, I plan to expand it into a larger series with new cases, deeper conspiracies, and a broader look at life beneath the neon skyline.
Feedback, theories, and criticism are welcome. I'd love to hear what works, what doesn't, and what you'd like to see explored further.
