We all know the classic 'Hiccup runs away cuz of neglect and stuff and returns five years later as a super mysterious and powerful warrior' story in this fandom. This stories a bit different. First off, when he runs away he doesnt stay away long. Less than a year in fact. Secondly Hiccup's more... unhinged, desperate, than most. Not in the 'oh no he killed almost the whole tribe and now astrid and the gang have to rebuild' unhinged, but in his desperation he begins to tear apart his former tribe from the inside using doubts and uncertaintys. Oh... and he somewhat dead, did i mention that?
