Now joining the Cookies of Darkness he was easily liked and trusted from his many connections back in the Cacao Kingdom and his friendly aura, he's easy to approach and hell even Pomegranate Cookie liked him! He was the one to visit Red Velvet Cookie and the Tower of Sweet Chaos, he was the one to like or be okay with his appearance even if he had a cake arm, he was the one to have a small fondness for cake hounds, HE was the one to.. to understand what it's like to not have a place to belong in this world. A harbinger of darkness appeared and let shadow and evil infest the land. And once more, the world erupted into chaos. But the five Cookie heroes, guardians of peace, have risen. Twilight falls, and the war for the Cookies' destiny has begun. ... And after all the chaos, the heroes losing the treacherous fight, a rebaked Cookie entered plight. With her sins behind her and actions unforgotten, she enters the world with views of peace and harmony. The dark witch herself, miss Enchantress had a new vision. To bring Cookies together, instead of destroying their world.

A duo of cookies consisting of Gingerbrave & Gingerbright had escaped the Witch's House, far away from their duties that they took up in order for their lives to be spared. Running deep into a darkened but soothing forest known as the Forest of Butterflies and into the given area called the Shimmering Ocean Village, Gingerbrave and Gingerbright were found and taken in by the Goddess Sea Fairy Kimura. During their stay in the village, and learning more about the world of Earthbread and its inhabitants, the Ovenbreak Duo soon embark on an adventure to help the cookies and defeat Dark Enchantress Cookie. Joining them were from the likes of Wizard Ouma the tsundere magician who used to be in a yakuza and the first cookie to escape the Witch's House, Cherry Bomb Futaba the playfully excited bomber who sought for adventure after living through the same routine, and Herb Kimura the young god of nature in training and cherished son of Sea Fairy. Newly formed as Team Friendship & Dough, meeting new friends, making great allies, and conquering devastating foes, now working together to help all of Earthbread!

Through a mistaken experiment by the Dark Enchantress, she had doomed her most precious aide to death. Naturally, there must be someone who can replace her...right?
