Its the year 2098. Technology has skyrocketed, leaving machines to replace scientists. But there is always a flaw in the system. When the drones fail to detect the signs, the world isn't prepared when dozens of volcanoes reach their natural detonation due date. Horrifyingly enough, the Earth is slowly coated in the remnant of the explosions; ash. Populations plummet, and soon it comes down to survival of the fittest. But how long will they last until the Sun is completely concealed ?

Claire Hart, a lonesome author, is still in the process of getting over the death of her suicidal husband. Haunted nightly by increasingly worse nightmares, she's beginning to lose hope, when she meets a man out in the woods behind her home. He's extremely kind... For a stranger. As she begins to befriend the man, oddities happen all around, and she feels as though she's going insane. Then... She discovers she might. Will Claire be able to cope with her failing mental health or fall headfirst into the pit of insanity?

A road construction site in Poland uncovers decapitated skeletons with their skulls placed between their knees or hands-an ancient method used to keep supposed vampires from rising. As archaeologists investigate, the graves begin to shift, stones crack, and the soil exhales cold mist, until the bodies vanish entirely, leaving only dragging footprints leading away from the open earth.

A buried skeleton in Poland is found with a sickle pressed over its throat, placed as a trap to keep it from rising. As the excavation unfolds, the blade shifts on its own, footprints appear in the soil, and the grave begins to show signs that whatever lay beneath was never meant to be disturbed-nor meant to stay buried.

A bunch of poems and random writings that I found in a bunch of old journals. Some of these are new, however. The title is called The Darkened State for a reason. This is due to most of them being depressing or twisted while I was in The Darkened State. Some of them are cheerful, though.

She's only average. She's unnoticeable. She breaks the code. On top of that, she makes mistakes angels aren't supposed to. Freeing and crashing down to Earth with heaven's energy source, the Florescent, for example. A big mistake. It's a real shame that the Fluorescent was hurled to the ground. Heaven's dying, angels are weakening, the whole thing is just chaos. Good thing Cleo doesn't have to deal with the absence of the Fluorescent: she got hurled down to Earth with it, and she lost her halo on the way. Now, it's a race against time as she tries to find all of the Fluorescent before the demons do and get back to Nelista. But Alex Monroe, a cocky demon who is thirsty for her bloodshed, sure isn't making things easier. To make things worse, the longer she's on Earth, the more she starts to realize that heaven may not be all that perfect after all....
