ok so this fan fiction is based off of The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. It starts right after the end of "In the Afterlight" so if you haven't read all 3 books I suggest you do before reading this. Cole Stewart is taken as a slave in a red camp and thought of as dead. He joins forces with another sassy red named Ashley to try and get back to the ones he loves. But will he make it back?

I started writing an I guess fanfic about Ruby and her tragic life after everything. This story is before the Darkest Legacy after Into the Afterlight. This is how Ruby deals with everything. It is incomplete but, if I continue is up to the people who read it. Yeah so... I'm just gonna put it here.

As the mystery virus finally reaches England, these powerless kids have to fight to survive against the people they once called their parents. The after effects this destructive disease caused in the US puts adults on high alert after their own children start to die, but even years after most of the young population die, the children remain normal. It seems they did not inherit the same powers as they did over the pond, but that doesn't mean fear doesn't fuel the actions of the remaining adult population. As children are protected, large groups of terror lead adults attempt to target and neutralize the remaining young people, afraid of what they may become. This is kind of a spin off of the Darkest Minds series written by Alexandra Bracken, that's where the main concept comes from.

They addressed you not by your name but by what you were to them. An experiment. Project 091 otherwise known as Project Phoenix. For the next six years, you were mistreated and perceived as a wild animal that could attack at any moment. A walking tragedy that could spontaneously combust at any given moment. But then everything changed. Now everybody knows you. Not as Project Phoenix. But as the one who was capable of saving them all from the corrupted government that deemed them dangerous. You would be the one to start the revolution.

Helena runs into the woods after experiencing that her father hasn't been kind to her and her mother has tragically passed away. In the woods, she encounters two friends. A big one and a small one. She remembers the incident that happened a year ago and promises to keep their friendship a secret. Meanwhile, a police officer and his accomplice need to search for Helena because she has been missing for a while. They go into the woods and see that there are people in the woods in different sizes. Will they keep this as a secret too? Or will this be revealed to the entire public?

Idiopathic Adolescent Acute Neurodegeneration or IAAN for short is a fatal disease affecting children between the ages 8-14. Over 98% of the USA's children population died from this disease. Life for the surviving 2% of children was more than torture, they were given powers that corresponded to colours. Greens are Geniuses Blues are Telekinetic Yellows are Electrokinetic Oranges are Mindcontrollers Reds are Pyrokinetic Reds are rare. The powers they posses have immense destructive potential, so the government uses them for power and to control.
