Here I am, running, through the darkness of the night. The cool breeze blowing against my skin, straight through my thin shirt. I felt something run past me, but I knew who. "Derek! I will find you this time!" I heard what may have been a slight chuckle. Not a human chuckle, though. More of a grunt that I recognize as a laugh. I felt a breeze again, a little stronger this time. I knew he was close. Then I heard steps behind me and... SMACK. I ran right into him. He toppled over and I got down on my knees on the ground, petting his fur. He looked exhausted, which I'm not surprised. I knew why he was weak, it was time for him to change back. He started twitching on his arm then leg, and after a couple snaps and pops it was over. I stood up and grabbed his clothes giving them to him. After he put them on he scooped me up in his arms, and kissed me. His warm but firm arms held me. His scent consumed me. Him.

After years of moving around following the death of her mom, Kirstie Maldonado is finally getting her life in order. It seems like an okay place, despite Kirstie's fears of living with a constant, debilitating mental illness. But is Lyle House really as bright and chipper as it seems? And why won't her grumpiest housemate leave her alone? --------- Mitch Grassi doesn't eat anymore. He can't help it; every time he eats, he has to throw it up, so why bother? Unfortunately, starving yourself isn't exactly healthy, and after a few days of nothing but water and wheat crackers he collapses in the middle of English class. They slap on labels of 'anorexia' and 'bulimia' and force him into Lyle House, a group home for teens and young adults with mental health issues. Nobody will believe Mitch when he tells them that he isn't actually anorexic. Lyle House is a nightmare; most of the other kids are judgmental and rude, the decor is awful, and all the nurses and doctors are condescending and treat Mitch like a stupid kid. Emma Wood was your average five foot ten motorcycle riding antisocial sixteen year old. But then she had a dream in class about a girl she had never seen before, an epileptic fit in the middle of French, sent the lights on the fritz, and sent school supplies flying without touching it. This landed her in Lyle house where she meets Chloe, Derek, Simon, Tori, Rae, and Liz. Little do any of them know that she is just like them, but in far more danger than any of them would believe.

This is a lot like darkest powers but also a lot different. My cousin and I were very curious of what it would be like if we were in the story. So we decided to write it out. We introduce some very cool new powers. I hope you like it because we had fun writing it. The story starts off right after Chloe was brought by Rae and her aunt back to the Edison group. **read darkest powers first because there are spoilers** CHECK OUT @0cyankitty0 too because she has the story there too!

Chloe and Derek start their new lives, creating new memories. But, they realize how much their relationship suffers when new events arise in their life. Between her aunt, Tori, Simon and Kit, who knows what might happen. A few surprises and new people, could either break or make their lives. What will Chloe do when she finds out deeper into her gifts? Will they come together, or will they decide no more?
