"I don't feel very much like a family. Not when I don't know who to trust." After Lloyd wakes up back in his right mind, the green ninja is puzzled when no one seems to care. No relief, no joy--nothing. Instead, the others seem to have a new wariness toward him--especially Kai. While his suspicions grow, the ninja are determined not to tell Lloyd what happened while he was half-asleep for fear of how the green ninja might react to what horrid things he had done. But Lloyd wonders what everyone is keeping from him and grows more and more frustrated when no one will answer his questions. He decides to figure out the truth for himself, but will soon find that the truth isn't always what he wants to hear. The green ninja is weak and unconscious for days, and they start to doubt if he'll survive. King Alec is determined to put the red ninja behind bars as the ninja team comes up with their own plan to clear their brother's name. But as the accusations and confusion dive deeper, doubt passes through the team and they begin to question what they're doing. Stories mix together and they no longer know who is telling the truth and who is lying. Just when all seems to be crashing down, an outside force jumps in to help, but one wrong move could cause pain or even death to, not just Kai, but the only friend the red ninja has left. Skylor. Through sacrifice of the noble and dishonorable, grief of souls already on the verge of breaking, and perseverance of only those sure of their place, true intentions will be revealed, relationships will be broken or mended, and both sides of the War will struggle for first place.
