Stacie Hawkins, a 15 year old young girl develops and extremely intense fear for mirrors. Her friends at school scare her with the "Mirror Man" story. Everyone in school made fun of her genuine fear. Even her parents didn't believe her and thought that she needed psychological help. The mirrors in her house sat there from the very beginning and besides the passing paranoia of something in their reflection, a feeling common in mirrors, there was nothing to care about. But then, she started to have the dreams, dreams that haunted her. Dreams about creatures creeping out of mirrors that bedevilled her for life. It wasn't just a figment of her imagination or any hallucination but, it was an irrational fear, a fear that may cause her to die, a parasitic fear of mirrors, a catoptrophobia. Excerpt: My dad was hanging with a cable tied around his neck. It was connected somewhere in the bedroom and he was outside the window. As he spun, I saw another note. It was nailed to his heart. Ten people I didn't even know were strung up in different ways all around the room. Some by their necks, others by their toes. Some even by their hair. No one knows except her though because she has a gift, she can see the outline of things thanks to echolocation for some reason Tya will be our second main character. She is an abusive relationship with the one person she thought she could trust. the bruises and broken bones are always explained in a very roundabout manner but she hates lying. Sonya will be the abusive girlfriend. The plot is that Tya starts to fall for Kasey a little bit after they meet and she starts to have an internal fight with herself, slowly coming to realize that she never loved Sonya, she just feared her so much that she convinced herself it was love. She is still afraid to leave her though. Meanwhile, Kasey is contemplating whether or not she deserves to live. She feels depressed and hates herself after. Sonya pushes her into a mental break
