Love and hate are thought to be so different. What if they aren't though. Love can start out rough, from hate to adoring, or even the other way around. It is impossible to never have on time of hatred in your life. What if it just started with the person you turn to love. What if your hate, that stays hate, comes back to bite you while you explore a hatred turned to love. Your face reddening because they just walked into the room, but what if that blush was because of something else than hate. Something, more powerful, that even the strongest people with the most nerve, can't deny. Is it that hard to believe that something, that powerful, can turn into something even more powerful.

Take Roxanne Lewis, a young woman just ending collage and seeking a future in teaching. Sure, she grew up with an abusive mother and had a nonexistent father. Who cares?! Well, her, I guess. Her past still haunts her every waking hour, and every moment rested, but she can still find peace in the near future while forgetting the past...right? Or will her past suffocate her, even the one she has never known, into hiding from the day, with only darkness to safe her...and him of course.
~
Now look at the lonely James Park. He's just came out of collage for art and design but can't find anyone who understands. He's losing hope and strength as his controlling mother urges him to go to law school. He can't seem to find out anything. He can't give up that easily though. And not with the grinning face of his nemeses behind his shoulder, mocking his every step.
~
Will these two who want to have nothing in common, really pull through with their love for each other. Even with danger lingering behind Roxanne's past comes towards the flickering light, and James needs to protect her, even if that means dealing with her crying and shouting in the pain of him leaving. He wants to do the same, but he can't show it.
