Thirteen year old Kayleigh Dustin had high hopes for her future because she hadn't had the best past. She wanted to be happy again and to help people feel better about themselves like her favorite band did. At a dark point in her life she meets that band and ,as they learn about her dark past, they come to love her. Soon she is learning new things like what is the drummers favorite animal or how to survive high school. For Kayleigh it's a new start in a life she can't wait to explore. Can she become the person she wants to be? Can she survive the changes of become her "New Me"?
