Except in this story the primary five characters (julia, fliss, brad, connor, and alex) don't exist since this story is in the past when joe and charlie were alive in 1947. In this story, Joe's wife is dead while his son is left in America with joe's parents. Charlie is alone in the military and his only friend is joe. In this story Charlie and Joe ARE the primary protagonists. The two comrades will have the fight together from the horror of the Ourang Medan.
