After rekindling the first flame, Edgar's body and soul was used as kindling, being burnt into nothingness. This is where the story should have ended, where Edgar ceased to be. But fate had another plan. Centuries later humanity is on the brink of fading once again, but not due to the fire, but themselves. As the bombs drop everything is destroyed, buildings, nature, animals, and people. The world as we knew it was burned to ashes, and a new age began as the survivors rebuilt. That is, until someone found what remained of the kiln of the first flame, and the man in metal armor sitting by a fire in the center.

When one dies in their life, they either expect heaven, hell or simply ceasing to exist. Well after dying this lost soul would find itself in the body of one Charles Lawrence, how and why he possessed the body of somebody we may not know. For now we will be reading how the current Charles will lead his life and what awaits him beyond oblivion.

In this narrative based around the world of Drangleic (Dark souls 2) I turn my experience with the game into a story with a twist or two included.
