This all takes place right after the fight with the elves. When everyone was brought to safety they realized someone was missing, Asta. Almost everyone started to search as soon as they heard the news but sadly after a couple of months with no hints of where he could be or what could've happened to him, he was declared dead. Later at his funeral wich was held small and beautiful only his friends and family attended.
