Historias de Darkwood

Two boys venture in the ashes of Darkwood, looking to uncover its past. For better or worse, the past answers back. --- This was my first attempt at long prose, and I've been working on and off on it for a long time. I'm finally getting back to finishing it. It's more about atmosphere, tension, and a sense of mystery, and less about action.

I haven't seen any rps around this game which is odd as it has one of the best storylines out of any horror game

Near home, at a turn off on the Black Woods Road dwells the spirit of a maiden killed by the logging truck she tried to flag down after a sorry incident with a boyfriend. Many have seen that ghost with some giving her a ride to her former domicile down the hill, they said. A professor at the local branch of the state's university even included the tale in a book about notable mysteries of the region. Later, when a French exchange student arrived at the campus a young friend of mine took a shine to the girl and offered to show her around with me to assist in translation and stand as the respectable chaperone. Of course our first destination after McDonald's was on the Black Woods Road and she was suitably impressed by the beauty of the site until I launched into discourse over the rumored presence of its otherworldly inhabitant. I may have been a bit theatrical in my presentation, I thought a touch of frisson could not hurt the budding relationship on the front seats, but she turned back with a near-scowl on her pretty face. "You are shitting me (my translation,) she said, they have the very same story in the village my family comes from." Here's an attempt at explanation.

The newly-named Dark Woods Circus has arrived close to your isolated town, so you decide to attend one night on your own. While looking for the entrance to the circus tent, you fall into the begging of becoming the only hope for the circus "freaks" to live normally again. After almost becoming a cannibal's next meal, it will soon become your job to lift the curse that has been placed upon all of the circus performers. So please, take a seat in our arena, and watch as a beast who feasts on human flesh, gains the trust of none other, than YOU!

Authors note: So I wrote a short story for writing club (actually I got the idea at writing club and it technically is for writing club but the person who it us for is mom) so I'll share it with you. It won't be very long seeing as it is a SHORT story but I had a lot of fun with it and think you'll like the end. I wrote a screenplay for it too which I will put on here at some point. I don't really know how to describe it so I guess you read the "description" for nothing. NOTICE: this is very old and I am not going to edit or make it better, be warned, it is terrible.

I loved to go to the woods but something about it was different and it wasn't a good different

Casper Harris has lived with his sister, Alice, in a big empty house in the small town of Darkwood for a long time. His parents are always traveling the world looking for new ancient artifacts. One night while walking home with his friends Daniel and Langston, Casper is hit by a car that's speeding down an isolated road. He should have been killed on impact. Instead, it's the car that is sent flying. Casper decides that it's time to visit Master Zhu, an old rich Chinese nutcase that lives at the edge of town who has an affinity for the supernatural. Zhu's conclusion, Casper is a Magus, and he's the one destined to save his own race. ***ON HOLD BECAUSE MY BRAIN DOESN'T WORK***

“Her name is Andromeda. It’s also a one way window, so she can’t see you,” Clarke explained, tapping the glass. Andromeda's head turned in their direction and before Alexia could blink, Andromeda was up against the cell wall, fang-like teeth snapping at Alexia. Since she was so close, Alexia was able to take a closer look at her. Andromeda's eye’s were black as coal and her ears were long and pointed, like those associated with an elf. Her hair was red as blood which stood out against her pale-as-death-white skin. The most outstanding feature about her though, was her webbed hands and feet and scaly skin.

Basically a layout to how I'm going to make my biggest project yet

Dark Woods Academy was set in the midst of the woods with the backdrop of misty mountains giving it a rural beauty that attracted college students. It was perfect except for the one event that started unravelling its exterior when Ace and her friends stumbled upon a dead body in the woods. Only one person left the woods that night, the rest disappeared in seconds. Behind its perfect exterior, deadly secrets, betrayal and mystery lie within the walls of Dark Woods Academy, its name a foreshadow of what was to come.

Tristyn McAllister never suspected his best friend Lexi Endrano of keeping any secrets from him, and certainly not one as big and life-changing as this. Tristyn has lived a fairly normal life, nothing crazy has ever really happened in his small town in Maine. You couldn't see him, hear him, or feel his presence, unless he lets you. He didn't trust anyone really.
