"The slave girl" is a Phanfic, based on the Novel of Susan Kay's "The Phantom",: The story is set in Persia 1851. Erik as a young man lives there as sorcerer and architect, and also as the toy oh the Khanum, the shah's mother. He, the shah, makes Erik a special present: A slave girl for his joy. First, he isn't amused, but later on the strange relation between the slave and him turns out as an unique friendship... No Christine, No Opera House, just Erik, Nadir (the Persian as Leroux calls him in his novel) and an OC!

Evangeline is a common ballerina at the Opera Populaire. she finds her way into the torture chamber of the Phantom of the Opera. She survives by some miracle and decides that the Phantom is as good a friend as any. Set during the time of Christine.

Music is the only stable thing in Erik's life, and Christine's voice is a miracle of music. He hears it one night simply by chance, and becomes fixated by it - he knows he must have it for his own. His job as a composer enables him to draw her to him, and over time they become closer. Erik longs for what could be between them, despite the warnings of his only friend, Nadir, and the appearance of Raoul, another singer, who seems to have similar intentions to Erik himself. Love proves to be the least of Erik's worries, however, when a danger from his past resurfaces, threatening the life he has created and everything he holds dear. Modern-day A/U, Leroux characters. The Angel of Doom and his harem wife. This short story is based solely on Susan Kay's Phantom. I did take some artistic liberties (I switched a couple of scenes) but, we're fanfiction writers. That's what we do, right? So, please enjoy! Also, this is Rated T because of an almost "scene".

The great fire, it cost Erik everything he ever knew. His house, his only love... everything. He roamed the streets for almost four years, staying hidden in the shadows he made himself familiar with only to find his way back to the abandon and burnt opera house. He stayed there and the first few months were nothing but peace, silence and his inner demons ripping him apart. He had no power for life anymore, no muse to write songs and compose miracles. He simply spent his days looking at the cave walls, not able to think, to see, to feel. All that changed when his ear perked the sound of a child's laughter, informing him of people entering his house but he had no power to kick them out. He saw no reason too. The Phantom was dead after all. He assumed they were the new owners, a word he heard a few times during the past 2 weeks. He mentally scoffed, wondering what they would do with the destroyed opera. Open it again? Fix it? He could care less. All he wanted was his solitude. #1 in phantomoftheopera (10/3/21)
