Azealia has a special gift. She’s known since she was little. She can receive messages that change lives, sometimes even hers. Fortunately, Azealia can control this gift, only permitting the determining messages to take over her mind when she senses that they are urgent. But that’s very rare; she is usually too busy being fond of mermaids or restyling her Rapunzel-like rainbow hair to worry about the gift. She is essentially a regular person. That’s only until she uses her gift again on the Medusan Olympic cruise ship that her parents rented for the summer. This message is indeed urgent, and Azealia knows that all too well. The power is now in her hands to either save two—or maybe even more—lives, or ignore it because she doesn’t like the lives she can save. She expects herself to go with the right decision…but what if she doesn’t have a choice? What if Azealia must take the alternative and it is not even in her hands? One thing or another, she is desperate to get the situation under control. But from this situation blooms many others, and Azealia is not sure her life can ever be normal again. Not that it ever was.

Darrius and Azalea are both aspiring professional teachers in the same university. Both smart and competitive. Everything was fine not until they competed in the same contest. Oh no!

*I wrote this when I was 14 for a Creative Writing project. Read at your own discretion.* Annika- I only have my dad. He is never here for me. He is to busy being Lord Dresdon of Kintania. I live for Darrius. He is the only one who keeps me from turning off my humanity. The thing is, he doesn't want me. He wants the Human. Darrius- I dedicated my life to her when I told them I would protect her. I meant it. There is one problem with that, though. Her name is Annika. She broke my heart but I can't stop thinking about her. I adore Aubrey but Annika does things to my heart that I can't explain. Aubrey-I was taken away from my mother when I was young. I have no one. Wait; that's a lie, though. I have Darrius. He's been caring for me, taking care of me when I had no one. I also have the new girl. She became my best friend. Her name is Annika.

The tale of Darrius Rose is one of many texts I'm writing, that are apart of a pantheon of sorts. This pantheon, I am formulating draws primarily from Greek/Roman paganism, Jewish Kabbalah, Biblical Apocrypha, and even Dante's Divine Comedy. I apologize greatly if some parts of this don't entirely make sense. Chronologically, this is nowhere near the beginning of the pantheon, since it takes place relatively close to modern day. So more context will come as *earlier* texts are published. Feel absolutely free to contribute and make one-off works based off of this text if you so desire.
