The world has settled. The Dragon Riders seemingly disappeared from the world and left so many people with questions. Dragon-kind began vanishing amongst Vikings, and all have wondered why. Meanwhile, New Berk has been rising up higher, keeping peace with the world around them and the dragons themselves. But that all is soon to change. Seventeen years after the war with Grimmel and the dragons leaving, a new threat arises and brings dragons with them. As these enemies seek out something precious to New Berk, Zephyr and Nuffink are suddenly put in charge of defending their home and saving their parents' lives. Rosalyn Henderson loved her brother and mother and that why she hated how she felt trapped by responsibilities that someone her age shouldn't have. Because of those responsibilities, she was going to be trapped in this feeling of misery forever. It never occurred to her that to feel joy in her life, all she needed was a boy who takes more time doing his hair than she does.
