Fleeing the Empire, they went into hiding on the remote planet Janix, where Kayla was trained in secret while learning to suppress her presence in the Force. As the Empire tightened its grip on the galaxy, a strange and unsettling presence began to call out to her through the Force. What starts as a faint pull soon grows stronger-until Kayla realizes it is not the Empire that has found her. It is Maul.

Obi-Wan had requested a new padawan, but Ahsoka came as Anakin's. The Negotiator's wish finally came true, but his new padawan is a Rupitarian girl. Although she's deeply connected to the Force and shows much promise, Rupitarians are known for their strong family bonds, creatures famed for creating deep attachments. Not many Rupitarians become jedi because of this. But attachments are not the problem for this child, she's shy and a loner, with no self-confidence. An apprenticeship is her only hope to make it in the universe, but many questions arise as to why Kenobi is chosen. The Council worries if they might not have read the Force correctly for this match. Can the two keep from forming a deep attachment and becoming inseparable? When tasked to find a powerful ancient kyber crystal, he discovers that he is a part of something more important than just Bounty Hunting Read as Shade's story is revealed and how it unfolds (Some characters and planets are a part of the Star Wars universe. In this story, I am only taking credit for the characters I made/own.)

For Maul's whole life, he's been searching for a true purpose and validation, from being a Sith assassin, crime lord, brother, all of it has ended in failure and suffering.
