It is whispered that deep in the heart of the forest, a forgotten wall stands, hidden from all eyes. No one knows what it protects... or what it keeps inside. When winter settles over Dartmoor, footsteps stray onto ancient paths. Some seek adventure, others flee the ordinary. But all eventually hear the wall's call. And once you've found it... it is already too late.

A event has happened that has changed the world and has spilt a family up. This is their story. NOTE: Author John Green wrote a book of the same name and I'm writing what I thought when I first heard the title. I don't write long chapters as I don't feel like it's right for this story. I will however try and make the chapters longer!

This series was started a few years ago by my older cousin (rest her soul). I really Wanted to do something in her memory, so I thought I'd re-vamp the story line a little and post it when it's ready. What happens when Ryder Peterson meets a large wolf; in a remote rocky outcrop, in the middle of Dartmoor, England? Could he be the one to help her uncover her family's dark secret? When they become friends will they prosper? or will it all end in ruin? This is the original opening to The Dragon Ring (Crooked Cat 2012). You can probably tell why any number of people, including some agents, assumed the book was for children. It's not, but I still love this scene.

‘The Stone of Lamfedios’ is a cross-over, fantasy fiction story for older children and young adults. Two girls from different backgrounds are transported into a chaotic and dangerous world where the distorted greed and power of Nembaw the Black Councillor threaten its people’s survival. Amid mysterious circumstances Gemma finds a strange, patterned stone on a holiday ramble with her family. Little does she know that her destiny as the ‘Keeper of the Stone of Lamfedios’ is about to unfold. She is drawn into many dangers as she fulfils her role undertaking a hazardous journey to the ultimate battle to save a land in dark turmoil. Whilst trying to start a stolen motor bike Marti is drawn into a confusing and unreal world with a bizarre companion. She hates exercise but has no alternative than to trudge through a strangely shifting landscape to an unknown destination under the power and illusions created by Nembaw. In this world both girls accept physical and mental challenges as they trek through a desolate mountain landscape. Here they test friendships and mould their characters. Gemma has allies in the form of Charia the wisest of Councillors, Tiarnis the Stone Mage and Hrabvar the Raven man. The violent Terracks become Marti’s dubious hosts but even as Nembaw’s ward she has no protection and may not be able to fulfil her own dark role.

One late spring night. An innocent walk on the Moor is about to take a distinctly grisly turn... not everything is as it seems for Jim.

Angelina was used to fending for herself in a lonely corner of Dartmoor with her small yet devoted household to keep her company. After her parents died and left her with only the house to call her own, Angelina's one over-ruling concern was to look after Brooklyn Grange. Her solitary existence is threatened with the advent of a stranger in the middle of a freak snowstorm; and on top of that, the man doesn't even have the courtesy of remembering his own name.
