You went to school with the brothers before they dropped out, or were pulled out, or got arrested, or whatever rumor you heard that day. But you knew what happened. You were there, you were the reason and you thought you would never have to see them again. Now many years later, they stand in front of you bloodied and covered in zombie guts. Begrudgingly, you let them in your small group that you had managed to join early on in the apocalypse. As time goes on, it becomes clear Merle hasn't changed much and in the ways he has, he's gotten worse. But Daryl doesn't seem as bad as he was. He was still a dick but he wasn't as bad as Merle. Once Merle disappears you see a big change start to happen. He doesn't call you names as much, he doesn't look at you in disgust as you walk past him and slowly he starts to talk to you. As even more time passes you slowly become more comfortable around Daryl, something you never thought was possible. You knew this was never meant to happen and yet here you are, with Daryl Dixon.
