Daryl Dixon X OC A The Walking Dead / Zombies, Run! Crossover Featuring an OC who was Runner 5 in the township and a seasoned one at that, who went through all sorts of crazy on the other side of the pond and has landed in the similarly crazy USA. In a series of chance encounters she lends a hand with people in Rick's group and eventually falls in with them. She's an enigma who is insanely good at surviving in the apocalypse and very good at going on runs, naturally she ends up spending more and more time with one of the groups other best 'runners'.... A gruff redneck toting a crossbow and no intention of trusting the woman who was more mystery than anything. But crazy seems drawn to her and he does too, so intentions ultimately mean little. Lieutenant Eleana Mondragon was well prepared for the apocalypse, she just didn't know it. She had been in the Marines since she was 18, but she had trained for it her whole life. Her father was stuck on her going into the Marines, just like he had. He forced her to train, day in-day out. She caught on quickly and wanted to make her father proud so she went into the Marines, just like he wanted. She even ended up liking it. But the end of the world stops her from enjoying her life anymore. She's alone on a farm, at least a mile away from the closest people, until a group of people show up there scavenging. They accept her into their group and she starts to fall for a particular redneck. But does he like her back, is the real question.

Natalia Grimes, the only woman worth fighting for. Daryl Dixon, the only man strong enough to win.

TW for mentions of torture, based on the events after S7E3 The Cell. Daryl's not a broken man, or anyone's bitch. He is sore, though - but your band-aids help.

"...find what you love, and let it kill you." When the apocalypse started, no one (besides Merle) knew that Daryl had a better nature towards his girlfriend, Kenja Jackson. But when Daryl finds her again, she doesn't realize that the redneck she fell in love with had changed during their seperation. Takes place season 2, brief mentions of violence and abuse considering the Dixon boys' father was a complete jerkface.

Rory and Daryl's relationship is built on tension and grudging respect. From the start, they clash-Rory's idealism as a doctor, her need to help and heal, constantly rubs against Daryl's hardened, survivalist attitude. He doesn't trust easily, especially not someone like her, who still believes in making the world a better place despite everything falling apart. "I don't need your help, Doc," Daryl growls after a particularly tense moment where Rory tries to tend to his wounds. But beneath their antagonism, there's something deeper. Despite his gruff exterior, Daryl can't deny that Rory has a stubborn, unwavering strength. She's the only one who still tries to save lives, and though he resists, he respects her for it. "You're gonna get yourself killed trying to fix everyone," Daryl says, his tone rough but tinged with concern, even if he won't admit it. "I'm not trying to fix everyone.Just... one person at a time," Rory replies, and for a brief moment, Daryl doesn't know how to respond. Their interactions are filled with a mix of sharp words and quiet moments of understanding. Rory doesn't know whether to admire Daryl's ability to survive or to wish he would open up. And Daryl? He can't decide if he's annoyed by her optimism or secretly grateful for it. Though they argue constantly, there's no denying the bond forming between them-built on mutual survival and an unspoken need for each other in a world that has stripped them of everything else. "Maybe one day you'll stop pushing me away," Rory says quietly, after another fight. Daryl just stares into the fire, silent for a long time before muttering, "Not today." And so, they continue-two people who hate and need each other in equal measure, caught somewhere between survival and something more.
