If Trees Could Talk is a haunting psychological horror novel that begins with four friends-Jess, Marcus, Riley, and Leah-embarking on what should have been a simple weekend camping trip deep within an isolated forest. But when compasses fail, paths shift, and whispers drift through the mist, they discover the woods are more than just trees... and they do not want visitors to leave. As fear tightens its grip, buried emotions and fractured relationships rise to the surface, especially between Leah and Riley, whose unresolved love becomes entangled with the forest's growing darkness. Drawn deeper into a nightmare of living shadows, cryptic voices, and ancient secrets, the friends uncover evidence that countless travelers have vanished there before them. Then, one by one, they disappear themselves. Two years later, Leah's older brother Kyle-a former Green Beret haunted by her disappearance-refuses to accept that she is gone. Armed with little more than determination and accompanied by his loyal dog, Skip, he follows impossible clues to a forest that does not exist on any map. Technology fails within its borders. Time behaves strangely. The deeper Kyle ventures, the more the woods seem aware of him. As reality begins to unravel around him, Kyle discovers signs that Leah may still be alive somewhere within the forest's grasp. But finding her means surviving a place that feeds on the lost, manipulates memory, and lures its victims ever deeper into the shadows. Blending atmospheric suspense, emotional tragedy, supernatural terror, and survival horror, If Trees Could Talk is a chilling tale about love, regret, family, and the terrifying truth that some forests never forget those they claim. *New Part Every Thursday*

"You are mine, Luce mia. Do not forget that." His hot lips skim over my ear as his deep voice whispers this, making my body burn. Burn for him. I gasp. I am not getting enough air for my lungs to function properly. I feel like my brain is short circuiting. His body is fitted up against mine so I can feel all of his defined muscles, making a shudder rack through my body. But I can also feel his heartbeat. His heart beat that is beating just as fast as mine. "You are my light that leads me through the darkness, Milo."

(This ain't your average teen cliche book.) ~~~~~ Nothing ever was too late to say the three words. But I would never be able to say I love you to his face, one thing I wish I could've done before I died. Well, I wasn't technically dead. Nor did I technically die. Well. Not literally. "I'm just not cut out for that ooey gooey stuff; relationships or love , maybe even friends for the time being. Or you could say, I'm just emotionally unavailable at the moment." I inhale quietly looking at his expression. But nothing. He's looking straight at me, but I can tell he's miles away from my voice, just thinking off into the distance. Just how we started. Before this all happened. "I'm sorry." ~~~~~ Things were going great for 17 year old Amorette, until, her parents split, she lost all her friends, moved to a different town and ended up meeting the hottest captain of the widely known football team. Hunter Williams. The most popular known kid in school, or should I say, towns. Vipers was known for winning the football championship cup three years in the row, with training on the line and semi- finals to win, Hunter can't waste this opportunity. But neither can Amorette. Here's her chance. To start over again. Have a new beginning and maybe find her true love. But with the obstacles of a best friend, a pet, a mother, a baby in her way. All her opportunities go flying out the window, it leaves her with two decisions. To sacrifice how far she's come and leave it all behind, or say those three words and forget about the hurdles that she had stumbled upon. Written by Asthgil AKA (PhoenixMcl)

Unuhanga te Taniwha; unleash the monster. In the beginning, when the European first landed on the shores of Aotearoa, one of the monsters they've brought on the ship, escaped without any difficulty. One of the leaders of the leaders tried to lure the monster back once it was found, but they quickly discovered they were too late to retrieve it, once the monster the made a pact with a Maori chief. Now in modern days, the monster is still lurking. Killing and wrecking havoc upon the traitors and enemies of Ngati Te Utu who lives rightfully up to their name, but only if one made a mistake of underestimating them. Particularly the government who is still fearful of them, since they want to capture the monster. The catch is, a monster can never be tamed.
