It's unusual for a woman to meet a famous band on holiday in a strange country, but what's even weirder is that they decide to pull her along on tour and a particular member has laid his eyes on her. Hi! I'm back from the death with a new Alan fanfic! I came up with this idea while actually on holiday in Germany and I was stuck inside our caravan because of the bad weather. After the death of his beloved wife, Alan buries himself in work and music, isolating himself from everyone including his young daughter. Thus, he's surprised to discover the gentle friendship of the mysterious Martin, and for some reason he finds himself becoming more intrigued with a smiling tattooed artist, Dave.

Charlotte "Charlie" Wells is just a normal girl. She lives in a one bedroom apartment in a derelict building and has a waitressing job, where at least there she receives generous tips. The moon is shining in the sky, reminding me of so many other nights, when my eyes had been so red, I'd been mistaken for dead, but not tonight My interpretation of the song through a story. 1981. Alan stumbles across Martin on the edge of a bridge one night. He later finds out that Martin is prepared to take his own life. Will he be able to save him or will it be too late? (Nothing in this is fact it's just a nice little story that this song always makes me think about)

This story is based on the real life of a devotee. Some fictions have been added to make this story more special.

When one night changes Martins life forever can Dave help him and make Martin smile the same way he used to, or is Martin a lost cause. This fic revolves around the topic of rape, if this is a triggering topic for you please be careful or don't read. I will not put warnings on chapters as it will likely be a constant topic throughout. Again this book has mature content and isn't for all readers. Also this fic isn't accurate to real life, for example this is very young Depeche Mode, earlier than Playing The Angel however I make reference to the song precious, or I may put songs on an album they don't really belong to purely for the purpose of this book, so please know it's intentional.
