He is befriended by a John Egbert and a cool kid. As he hangs out more and more with the nerd and cool kid he finds himself falling for the guy. Being the curious 16 year old he is, he decides to explore his feelings and finds himself stuck in an awkward situation. What will Karkat do? A Davekat fanfiction where Karkat tells Dave to shut up. After completing the game and creating their own world, a handful of the kids decided that they wanted to go back to school even if it was annoying. This includes Dave and Karkat who find themselves growing ever closer.

Dave Strider seems like your average kid at school, bored with work. Hanging out with his best friends and living life. When Dave Strider falls for a small, short, and cranky Karkat Vantas, life on the Meteor is slightly altered. He can no loner be in the same room with Karkat, fights become more often. Challenges are excepted, and well..Who knew a game of 'homosexual cluck-beast' could be so fun? Homosexual Cluck-Beast; troll term for 'Gay Chicken.' ;)

Below the streets of New York lies the sewers, in these sewers live the trolls. This strange species crashed here long ago, their spaceship stuck underground. Above the old dirt roads evolution happens and things are paved over and sewers are dug. It became increasingly hard from the trolls to hide when the humans began to dig. They were awoken by the explosions, which cause their ship to shake and wake them, alarms going off. They were quick to silence the alarms, listening around them. It seemed as though it took forever before the humans were done, allowing them to dig through the earthy walls and be set free. There were stories of noises and cries coming from the sewers, but everyone just believe it was just the lost pets who were flushed down the toilet, at least that's what they told each other, no one really believed them.
