Jaime Kelly, also known as "Books", is the leader of the Lower Manhattan Newsies. She loves her Newsies like they're her family. Every 8 Days she goes to see her best friend, Spot, the "King of Brooklyn". Everything seems to be going pretty normal until one day when she and her brother, Jack, start a strike against "The World". But what happens when memories of her past starts to resurface? And what happens when she makes a bet with " King Idiot" that in 8 days he could get her to say 8 letters? Note: ALL CHARACTERS MENTIONED IN THE 1992 FILM BELONG TO DISNEY. How can a girl avoid being caught by Snyder, avoid the spies sent by her brother, and make a living? PLEASE READ THE REWRITE OF THIS. IT IS TITLED THE SAME BUT THE COVER IS DIFFERENT. Thank you! It's a year after the strike. Spot and Race have been dating now for a while and are happy together. But like every couple, nothing is perfect. The two have a huge fight and Race leaves, saying he's going to clear his head. But when Race doesn't come back the next day, Spot gets worried. He and the Manhattan newsies team up to find Race. When they do, Spot is caught in a problem and its deal to get out of it is worse than any soaking. Will they get Race back for good? Or will Spot never forgive himself for falling short?

I have recently been brought down to the newsies fandom. The newsies fandom is like a cult. Might I say, a cult I enjoy being in.

(IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME READING SOMETHING I WROTE. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS MY FIRST SO OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO SUCK.) After living in a small Ohio town all of her life, Alice Clark is sent to NYC to go to a better school. But when terrible things happen at the school. Alice is faced to make a choose, to stay alive she becomes a newsie. (Cover by me) (The story is set after the strike from the musical.) (I do not own newsies, i'm only writing this because I love newsies so much. The only thing I own are the original characters in the book.)

When Davey's father recovers from his injury and is able to go back to work, Davey and Les no longer have to stay newsies. Les, of course, begs Davey to let him stay, to which Davey reluctantly gives in, but only until the start of next school year. Davey, on the other hand, feels the need to finish his education to be able to get a teaching job, something he's always been passionate about. He entrusts Les's safety to Jack and Y/n, who both happily accept. However, Davey leaving also means Y/n loses one of their closest friends, and maybe something a little more?

So, basically, I'm going to be writing various Newsies character/actor oneshots and putting them in here because I'm trash. There will be a good mix of both x reader and whatever ship I may decide to write in, or what any of you guys suggest! Not gonna lie, it's gonna be a lot of Ben Fankhauser x reader. They'll also vary in time frame and there will be PLENTY of AU's. I'll be open to requests if you like what I'm writing! Hope you enjoy, you beautiful fansies you.
