Fifteen year old Charlotte Wheeler is forced to leave her homestead out west with her family when money becomes scarce. The Wheeler family travels all the way to New York in hopes of more job opportunities and help from family. One day, Charlotte meets a group of boys selling newspapers who call themselves Newsies. Against her parents' wishes, she joins them, hoping to make money and contribute to her family's low income. But when the price of newspapers goes up and the Newsies go on strike, Charlotte realizes she's in deeper than she'd bargained for.

The reader gets a Newsies costume from somewhere, and then they and their brother go to their grandparents, and their grandparents have a magic wardrobe and the reader gets pulled into the closet and ends up in Brooklyn, a little while before the strike and it is the plot of the Broadway show. And the reader has to finish the story to get back to the present time. What happens when they fall for the smart mouthed reporter?

The title. This started off as purely ASOUE one shots but has since changed into a conglomeration of random things, tags, ASOUE and one Newsies one shot which can be found in my other book Newsies One Shots. Enjoy! I did whilst writing it.

Jack decides that with all the newsies have been through the past year, he should do something for them. But with only a nickel to his name and with the ragtag group he calls friends, it's going to take a little holiday magic to bring Christmas to the boys. This story may turn into a collection of Newsies one-shots, I'm not sure yet, but we'll see.

It also has not been fully edited. I do pay more attention to some characters than others based upon how close I hold them to my heart.)
