In this book, she realizes the hypocrisy, dictatorial nature, recklessness, and how centered around Jack, Davey, and Les the newsies union is.

BEAR IS BACKKKKKKK with a new fanfic and a new fandom NEWSIES! ---- Jack Kelly has to deal with a strike. He also has to deal with his feelings...feelings for someone named David, the only problem is David Jacobs is terrified. He's fallen for someone he shouldn't have-Jack Kelly. And not only that, but he has a sister to care for as well, and Sarah Jacobs recognizes Katherine. Katherine doesn't remember her. And this is an issue because Katherine Pulitzer has started to realize things. She always knew that she and her closest friend, Jack, were alike in many ways. One of these ways, though, is discoverable through the antics of Racetrack Higgins, who has issues. Issues such as Spot, who simply won't leave him alone. Or perhaps it's the other way around...in any case, Spot Conlon has feelings for Race, feelings he wouldn't have known were possible if it weren't for Kid Blink Baletti, who was kissing Mush in a closet. Yeah. In a closet. And Spot found him, which led to Mush Meyers feeling very nervous, because he shouldn't have been kissing Blink-it wasn't legal. This led to Crutchie Morris trying to fix everything between everyone, and everything just being one big, gay mess.

The strikes settled and life is going pretty good for the newsies... until it isn't. Strange things keep happening to the newsies and it only keeps getting worse. Race is navigating what it means to be a family and have faith in his friends. Through the hard times and the fights, and that Jack "won't let him do nothin'" as he would say. He's having a hard time depicting what is a good decision and a bad one. And if the right one could be bad? Jack's struggling with what it means to be a good leader. And weather his family or his duties as a leader should come first. He's overwhelmed and confused. Spot his hard exterior and stubbornness may cause him some problems in the near future. Spot learns some lessons from friends about how important it is to ask for help when needed, before things get too out of hand. He also needs to learn how to manage his not-so-secret crush on a certain Blonde Manhattan Newsboy. Davey's just trying to be there for the others, with trying to not get his little brother killed and Trying to not lose his mind with Jack's decisions. The newsies are terrified. Follow the newsies on an adventure of heartbreak, and love, happiness and pain, anger and sadness... and through what might be the starting of a borough wide war. ⚠️I swear quite a bit during this fic so if you are uncomfortable with that I don't think it's best to read it. Also there will be some violence so just a heads up for that.⚠️

Using the prompt: "Everyone is born with blond hair. A person's hair turns brown when they lose their innocence." Davey's hair was still the lightest blond he had ever seen... And he was entering high school. He tried to reason with himself, well sure a lot of people still had dirty blond hair. And not too many people had gone full brunette yet.

I have scoured the entirety of wattpad for this and havent found it so here I am making the Newsies watch themselves be idiots. Also, its pretty gay sooooooo.......don't read it if you dont like that I do not own the characters in any way, however the plot is mine.

That isn't a win for anybody." Race stood up straight and crossed his arms. "Well den, Ise can just go sellin' with ya," Spot said, mimicking Races stance and crossing his arms. "What?" Race said, slightly shocked at what Soot had just stated. "Youse heard me, Ise can go sellin with ya then." "Alright then. I'll see you there tomorrow mornin'." "A'ight," Spot said. Both boys hadn't realized the close proximity between them, and only realized how close they had been once Race turned his back and walked away, Spot doing the same.
