AU - Jack and Nikki have been married for just over a year, they have continued their normal working life at the Lyell centre although both Jack and Nikki want to start a family, will their dreams come true?

All it takes is time, so much can change in eight years especially for the head of the forensic Science at the Lyell center.

Nikki has married Matt but her life decisions are less to be desired when Matt's true colours come out and he slowly begins to ruin her life, although a plot twist causes Jack to stand up to him and help Nikki.

A trumatised Nikki has returned from Mexico, but Jack isn't returning any of her calls. Will she be able to get through to him before it's too late.

Just when Jack thought he was ready to settle down with pathologist Nikki, she goes and gets another man but it's not all as it seems.

Nikki had been on cloud nine with Matt and her newfound confidence in her relationship, but then Jack came onto the scene and Nikki's feels for Jack grew more and more. Now she is pregnant with another man's child and due to get married to Matt within days.

13th January 2013 - Jack has just joined the Lyell and is met by a ghost from his past, throwing him completely in at the deep end.

Set after series 20, Nikki is traumatized from her ordeal in Mexico and her mental health is on the downfall. It is up to a guilt-ridden Jack to help Nikki before it's too late. TW - Mental Health - Mentions of self-harm, suicide, and all that kinda thing. A/N- please not some of this wont be 100% accurate in medical terms and is purely here for dramatic affect. Please don't come at me.

Temptation is big on Nikki's cards and she can't help but notice a dashing young Irish man in the workplace, although Nikki has a dilemma she is engaged to Matt Garcia and her wedding is in a few days time. But Nikki's temptations get the better of her and she's left with a big problem.

Nikki is caught in the middle of an affair, but soon her life is thrown up in the air.

6 months after the death of Thomas and Clarissa's departure, Jack and Nikki jet off to New York for Harry's wedding, hoping for a break from the Lyell. A break is far from what they receive. Wanting to help Harry's new wife, NYPD Detective Elena, on a case she's been following up on for years, they become involved in a very wealthy family, discovering disturbing secrets about them. And the tension between the two of them has reached a breaking point. Will they admit their feelings for one another, or will they carrying on suffering on their own?
