Shy photographer, Max Caulfield, gets her life turned upside down when she gets bitten by a radioactive spider.

Max and Chloe announce their engagement to Joyce and David. Or at least they try to. Words are exchanged and tears are shed. After all the things that begged to be said are said, wounds are healed and all four of them start moving forward in time again. This takes place in an alternate universe in which Joyce survived the Storm.

This short story follows David Madsen as he deals with the aftermath of being shot during the Mark Jefferson fiasco.

After sharing with David the results of their investigation, Max and Chloe spend the remainder of Thursday night in Chloe's room. They talk about their past and their future. This story bridges the gap between Max's and Chloe's conversations outside the swimming pool on Thursday and at the beach on Friday.
