Ophelia Ortega relied heavily on being independent. With an absent mother and a father she staunchly refused to speak to, or about, she had grown accustomed to being self sufficient. With this often came an avoidance of new relationships, but she always told her self it was okay because she kept herself busy with her work. And besides, she lived with her cousin Penelope who had been her best friend since they were children, along with Penelope's daughter. However Ophelia's walls may begin to come down gradually when she is introduced to a young man with a warm smile and the incessant ability to make her laugh. His name was David Pastrnak. The two form a friendship that for the first time in years, leads Ophelia to have feelings for a man. But will their differences and struggles end up driving them apart? Or will the struggles they face strengthen their relationship? All Ophelia knew at the time was that something about him was different.

The Boston Bruins are holding a charity dance for patients at the Children's Hospital. Every member of the team will be attending. Everyone except Camdyn Leonard. After dealing with the constant harassment from her teammates (*cough* Charlie *cough*), she caves and goes, must to the delight of everyone, especially teammate David Pastrnak. David Pastrnak has know Camdyn for years, since they met at age 12, in the Czech Republic. He's fallen long and hard for the stubborn Massachusetts native, and she doesn't even know it. Camdyn has never treated David as anything more than a brother, and he's powerless to change that. Camdyn has always been close to David. Lately, she's been attracted to him, and she doesn't understand these feelings. To her, David is nothing more than a brother, and she has tried to keep it that way. They both know that the charity dance will be hell for the both of them, and they're in for a long ride. How will fate play it's cards?

Moving to Boston had always been a top priority of Emily's. When she lived with her parents they were stuck in Revere Mass. But when she received a scholarship to Boston University she hurriedly moved, eager to escape her dark past and find new beginnings. It seemed all David was ever referred to was a rink rat... Not that he necessarily minded. What else was he going to do? He had only just moved here and had no friends or family here outside of the Bruins organization. Will she do what she loves or will she choose who she loves but maybe there is a way to do both Come on the long ride to meet Charlie a girl who's life has revolved around hockey since she was 3 but being from Alabama and only 16 years old there is a fine line between being the best to never even making it David he's played this sport for as long as he can remember and he still wants to do it for the love of the sport and the love he had for his father..being a boy from Czech Republic that's only 18 years old that makes his way to Boston to play in the big leagues..being the child has the risks and the pleasures.
