Dax, short for Daxton, is a sophomore at Westbridge high school. He gets good grades, starts on his schools' basketball team, and has his life planned out ahead of him. His parents have a stable relationship, have good jobs, and are well known throughout the city of New York. The three of them live in a luxury apartment with their beagle, Prince, in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. They wake up every morning to the sun shining through their windows, friendly neighbors greeting them from outside, and the lovely scene of fancy shops, as well as urban cafés. Life couldn't be better for the young teen. Rose is a freshman who also attends Westbridge high school. She loves to paint, admire the New York sights with photography, and help her mother cook dinner, as well as bake in their small kitchen. Her parents are in a troublesome relationship, they work most of the day between multiple jobs, and live in the western part of the Bronx. She and her parents, as well as her six-year-old sister, Abigail, live in a small, two bedroom apartment that they are struggling to pay for. Their neighborhood isn't safe, the buildings are old, and the overall status of their living is harsh. Rose stays optimistic about her life, but she knows her family slowly falling apart. The two ironically meet when Dax sees Rose at school, noticing she is new to the high school. Their time together begins to increase as life pulls them closer, but reality has another idea. With Roses' conflicted family and Dax's now broken reputation, it will take a miracle for their relationship to stay intact.

The story picks up right where we left off in season 2!being in love with the series and not being able to wait for the new season, I decided to start writing this to fuel my own obsession with nhie. trust me it is unhealthy. this story is meant to be short and binge worthy just like our beloved show. I also want to explore the other main characters and their relationships in this book too. like Nalini and Dr. Jackson, Kamala/Prashant/mr. K , Fabiola, Eleanor etc I actually don't want the show to end the way I will end this book. This was just for fun and isn't meant to be a prediction or a hope for what will come in s3. ... although I do hope Daxton lasts at least 4 episodes
