In this fan fiction universe mystique failed to killed trask in the beginning like the film but she never got hit by the bullet magneto intended to hit her with. Fast forward to the end the sentinel attacks magneto but he disarms it like the movie. Mystique fires the shot but it deflects off his helmet instead. Magneto takes opportunity of this almost instantly and surrounds mystique in a ball of debris to ensure no blood spilled and sends the ball into upper atmosphere where no one would find her dna.
