Connor is the new (human) Detroit Police Department rookie, partnered with Lieutenant Hank Anderson, but Hank realizes something is not right when he see's his new rookie partner walking home in the ice and snow. When he discovers Connor is homeless, he invites the rookie to live with him as "What kind of Lieutenant would I be if my new rookie partner was found outside sleeping?" Hank discovers more about his new roommate, things he never expected.

Happiness was this nebulous, dreamlike thing that Simon wasn't as familiar with as he could be. It was something he could see out of the corner of his eye, could reach out and grab if only he didn't blink it away within the next breath, but that elusiveness didn't stop him from wanting it. From wanting it for Markus more than anyone. In order to ensure Markus got just that, for a whole week he conspired with Carl and Leo Manfred to give Markus the surprise of his life, and hoped that, in the end, it brought Markus the joy he so deserves. Simon doesn't realize that he's deserving of it too, but Markus is there to show him the way.

It's after the revolution and the androids are trying to get their lives back together. Kara, Luther, and Alice are settled in at their new home in Canada with the Jerrys not too far away. Connor's now living with Hank and the androids have found themselves a new Jericho. They stay there until they feel comfortable living with humans, but Simon is having a little trouble adjusting to his new life. Especially since he's been experiencing strange feelings for Markus. Like... love.
