This story is about a teenage boy who's eyes are dead BLACK. He has no emotion in them, no sparkle in them, and not a single color other then jet black. He later learns a secret about himself, and along with his friends, he tries to find out his true meaning. Though there's a catch: He needs to find his true meaning, while running from people who want to kill him. Natalie Day and Nathaniel Gray have been on edge for the past year. After Natalie had shot and killed Nathaniel's father in self defense, she has been plagued by strange letters from the man that should be dead. For the past four months the police haven't been able to find any leads, until Detective Brooks discovers a mysterious looking man had moved to town. Problem is, this man looked similar to Nathaniel's late father. While Natalie and Nathaniel's relationship had grown over the past few months, this stranger threatens to tear them apart. Not even Natalie's late brother and sister can help her now.
