Fifteen-year-old Aurora's life seems perfect. At least from the outside. Her father runs the country, controlling everything with strict rules, military force, and non-stop propaganda. Aurora lives in a bubble of luxury, expected to be the flawless daughter, but deep down, she knows she's far from that. She hates it. She hates the lies, the pressure, and most of all, the pretending.
Outside of the rich part of the city, things are awful. People barely have anything, and a rebel group called 'Nova Rebellion' is fighting to change that and take down her father's regime. Aurora attends an elite school and a few kids from the poor side are given a chance to 'change' their future. One of them is Hunter. a 16-year-old boy who's totally different from everyone Aurora knows.
Despite their different worlds, Aurora and Hunter fall in love-an impossible, forbidden love. It's a love that should never happen, but she can't stop it.
Soon, Aurora discovers that the rebel group is real-and that Hunter is the son of its leader. Instead of reporting him to her father, Aurora keeps their secret. Drawn to their cause, she begins to question the system she's grown up in and considers joining. Deep down, she knows the system is broken.
Now, she has to decide: Is she going to stay loyal to her father and her life in luxury, or is she going to help take him down and fight for a better world? Along the way, she starts to discover dark family secrets that make her question everything she thought she knew.
