Ever since she lost her father during a savage winter storm when she was just a baby, Trace had grown up with one of her father's old friends, Sig Hansen. Ever since she was five years old, she had expressed interest in going crab fishing even though her father died doing the job. Unfortunately, Sig didn't have any spots available on his boat, the Northwestern, so she had to find another boat that had an open place for a new crew member. After calling everyone that she could think of and receiving no responses, she had begun to give up hope that she would find a boat to work on. Out of the blue, she received a call from one of Sig's friends who needed an extra deckhand for the upcoming king crab season. I only take credit for the plot and my original characters.
