This is a Dead Plate au where Vincent is not a cannibal. After falling in love with his restaurant employee, Rody, Vincent contracted hanahaki disease. After having spent almost his entire life without a sense of taste, Vincent can finally taste one thing: the cherry blossoms he now can't stop coughing up. They are sweet, but they could kill him. So, Vince is left with a decision: give in to his lifelong desire to taste again but die lonely, or risk it all for the love of his life?
