Juliet is a junior in high school. She isn't pretty, skinny, smart, talented, just average. She lives an average life with her father, step mom, and brother. She is extraordinarily boring to most people even herself, but she has a gift. She grew up with her deaf mother and knows sign language like the back of her hand. Only sign language could never prepare her for her new life after a bloody car crash. Maybe it could help her Romeo though and her Romeo just might be able to help her...

"Come here," he said. I blankly shook my head. "Why?" "Because I'm your man." "You are," he says simply. "Since I met you, you're all I think about. I'm fucking smitten." In the quiet, secretive town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, Rhiannon Marsden was never meant to be at the center of anything. After a traumatic event forced her to leave her hometown, Rhiannon moves in with her grandmother, carrying more than just the weight of her past. Deaf and fiercely self-reliant, she has learned to navigate the world on her own terms-choosing when to listen, when to speak, and when to shut the noise out entirely. But Mystic Falls is anything but quiet. As she grows close to the supernatural inner circle-Elena, Bonnie, and the others-Rhiannon is slowly pulled into a world of vampires, witches, and ancient secrets she was never meant to uncover. Unlike the others, she doesn't rely on instinct or supernatural strength to survive-only observation, intuition, and an unshakable sense of control. It's that quiet resilience that catches the attention of Elijah Mikaelson-an Original vampire who, for reasons even he doesn't fully understand, chooses to trust her first. And where Elijah is measured and honorable, Kol Mikaelson is unpredictable and dangerous-yet equally drawn to her in ways that threaten to unravel them both. As Rhiannon's relationships with the Mikaelsons deepen, her presence begins to shift the course of events in subtle but irreversible ways. Loyalties blur. Outcomes change. And the fragile balance between survival and destruction begins to tilt. Caught between the silence she controls and the chaos she cannot, Rhiannon must decide who she is in a world that refuses to stay quiet-and whether trust is worth the risk of being heard.

In your life, there's been two major changes that you can remember. The first was when you were fourteen, when Tamaki came to Japan from France, filling your silent world with music and seemingly one-sided love. The second was three years later, when Haruhi came into the picture and you became afraid that that music would fade away. (I know that this is a weirdly specific idea, but it's one I've had for a while. Enjoy!)

The story follows a group of 7 Aussie teens, who all have their struggles. As the story goes on we find out more about the characters. most of the characters are disabled and all of the characters are LGBTQ+. If this is something you don't like or don't agree with then don't read this. THE ONLY AUTISTIC CHARACTERS ARE AMELIA AND MATTIE. Please don't call my non-autistic characters autistic. Yes I'm talking to you bob-steve, Aled said he was a disabled teen, which he is. your, "Disabled? He's autistic" comment didn't go unnoticed, even though you deleted it, Wattpad sends me emails, he isn't autistic, he just has pots. (targeted). that's all I hope you enjoy!!

In a Solar System far away, there exists a planet where all of the inhabitants are deaf. They have evolved as a community over many millennia and are traders across their solar system. But when humanoids from other planets come telling them that their deafness is a disability and that they can make a lot of money if they get ear implants, the people on this planet must decide what to do. Is deafness their heritage? Or is it holding them back from joining the larger world? The story's main protagonist is Mist whose daughter wants to get the implant because other children are getting them. Mist has always been a fighter and already doesn't fit in because she doesn't fit into her husband's class. She is against the implants. However the rest of her husband's family is. The new change -- brought by outsiders-- will change not only Mist's family but a whole society as well. This story is my most honored, I think. It is taught in classes across the world, in the UK, the US, and in Poland. It was anthologized in the acclaimed anthology So Long Been Dreaming. It is about a world of deaf inhabitants who have to deal with the imperialist Federation.

A Childhood Experience of Blindness, Deafness, and Survival What does it feel like to lose your sight and hearing, with no explanation, no pain, and no one who can help? Neurological + Functional Paralysis: A Childhood Experience of Blindness, Deafness, and Survival is the memoir of a child trapped in silence and darkness, struggling to survive when the world had disappeared. Alone in their own mind, they prayed, promised, and willed their senses to return, believing for a time that it was their fault. This is a story of endurance, courage, and the quiet, hidden strength of a body and mind determined to survive. Not a tale of miracles or medical certainty, it is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit - and a vivid, unforgettable journey through fear, hope, and recovery.
