I had an idea for an adaptation of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries/Pride and Prejudice, and I want your opinion on it! I can't make this happen on my own. So, fans of LBD, please read this and tell me what you think! (Yes, I'm aware the picture is from Poe Party, not LBD. I chose to use that picture because it has the LBD cast in vaguely Regency clothing (or at least Ashley wears a Regency gown) so it shows how I haven't entirely decided on what kind of adaptation I want yet.)

"Weren't we supposed to just be friends? so why does he keep looking at me like that?" Eighteen. Plus-size. And officially over secondary school and family stress. Lailat "Lily" Adeyemi-Lawal doesn't do rule she just exists. Hiding from a past that, threatens to swallow her whole, she expects the summer lesson she never agreed to be signed up for to be tedious and boring. That is until she meets him. Tariq Hassani lives in a world without sound. Deaf due to an accident he's used to being overlooked, bullied, and pitied by most of the people around him. Now at the end of his terrible secondary school days, he wants nothing to do with the chaotic, loud girl who crashes into his life like a ram in Lagos traffic jam. But when a misunderstanding force's them together, Lily discovers the boy beneath the silence, while Tariq sees the girl behind the rebellion. As the humid Lagos summer heats up, so does the tension between them. But Lily past is a ticking time bomb for her present, and Tariq is protecting a heart he thinks is unworthy of love. In a city that never quiets down, can they find a language that belongs only to them?

Jamie Brown never expected grief to sound like silence. Six months after losing his brother, he finds himself in Crestwood Park, guitar in hand, searching for meaning in music. That's when he meets her-a girl who doesn't speak, but says everything with her smile. She hears music differently. She feels it in her bones. And somehow, in the quiet between chords, she teaches Jamie how to listen-not just with his ears, but with his heart. A story about loss, connection, and the kind of love that needs no words.

In the quiet coastal town of Clearwater, 16-year-old Mia spends her nights curating playlists to express the feelings she can't put into words. When Evan, a mysterious new neighbor with a love for music despite being deaf, moves in next door, their worlds collide in an unexpected way. What starts as an accidental message turns into late-night exchanges of songs, lyrics, and secrets. Through shared playlists, they form a connection deeper than words, teaching each other about love, courage, and the beauty of silence. But when Evan reveals that he might have to leave town, Mia faces a choice: let go of the boy who helped her find her voice or fight for a love that's as fleeting as a sunset. The Silent Playlist is a heartfelt teen romance about the power of music, the meaning of connection, and the melodies that live in the spaces between.
