The house always had a thing for the dark.

The story of Layla, a popular high school student, and her Guardian Angel Piper. After Piper Hayes dies of a murder, she becomes the guardian angel of her old enemy Layla Reed. Piper then must have a disguise to attend the same high school as Layla. Layla will have to help Piper find a way to defeat a soul from the dark side of heaven. Will Pipers identity be revealed? she sat there look staring at the man in disbelief, "What are you?" " It depends. My name is Seonghwa. Wich you already know. Some call me the Raven. or the king of deamons. some call me the devil. some even call me a monster" Seonghwa says laughing. "So than what. Your like, a vampire or somthing." she says stepping back a bit. he quickly grabs her arm, "NO! I'm not a fucking vampire. I'm a deamon, and a good one too. Most deamon feed on human despair and blood. I on the other hand feed on the fear of the deamons that feed on humans. I also drink the blood of some animals. like a deer for example." she looks down at his hand gripping her arm and turns pale, " No!" she yells pulling back from him. She steps back stumbling into the courner. "Please. D-don't hurt me." Seonghwa's expression changes rapidly. Shock, realization, anger, sadness, and than fear. He slams he hand against the wall right next to her and she flinches back closing her eyes and starts crying. "STOP PLEASE! I'M NOT GOING TO HURT YOU. I'M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU. IF I DON'T HE.... HE WI-" he stops looking at the fear all over her as she shivers soft sobs emitting from her mouth. backing away he looks down at the ground, "Look. if what you want is for me to stay away from you. I can't do that. I will always be near, but I wont interact ok. If I dont stay near you he could show up any moment. He wont hesitate to kill you." seonghwa says. She looks up at him and their eyes meet. It was dead silent now, and it seemed to go on forever. she opens her mouth as though to say somthing, but Seonghwa disappears into the darkness.

While some people believe that there are only humans in the world, Maddie and Lexi believe there is more to it. While at a funeral, after a death of a fallen classmate, Lexi and Maddie reach the end of the cemetery. Not because they wanted to, but because something was chasing them. When they do reach the end, which is blocked by a five foot black gate, they have no choice but to climb it. When they do they find something beyond imagination, a whole academy hidden behind what seems to be a small forest. Considered to be students they look around, finding out that what they thought was true. They are not alone in the world, and they are about to find out how many others are there.
