And as Dean's world slowly falls apart, he has to come to terms with the fact that Castiel might not just be the proverbial angel on his shoulder, but something more. Something dangerous, unholy. Something Dean is too frightened to even say out loud. Until, eventually, everything crumbles, leaving him to fend off unwanted feelings and a devastating heartbreak.

A guardian angel is an angel that is assigned to protect and guide a particular person, group, kingdom, or country. I, Castiel, am a guardian angel. Commanded to protect and guide a single human being. From his birth to his death. His name? His name is Dean Winchester.

Dean and Cas are both stuck in Purgatory, and Dean can't survive long enough on his own. He needs to find a way out, and without the help of Cas, all seems hopeless. Dean finds someone who has a mysterious and unknown backstory, and he decides to put his hope in the fact that they can get him out, along with Castiel. THIS IS A PURGATORY AU. So, that means not everything will go as it did in the episodes. The only thing I own here is my O.C. and the idea. I apologize if anyone has already came up with this idea, (which they probably have) but I haven't read many fanfictions.

Dean Winchester is the eldest of the Winchester sons and is the heir to the throne of Camelot. Dean has spent his whole life preparing to become King once his father, John Winchester, dies. Dean has never been close with his father and his loyalties lie only with Camelot, it's people and his younger brother, Sam Winchester. That is until a boy is arrested and made his personal servant as punishment. The two quickly become friends and somewhere between the teasing banter and long days together Dean fears he is starting to fall for the boy. After all he is a servant and Dean's father would never allow such a friendship, never mind a relationship.
