So one night he meets the reader who is a sweet diner waitress who charms the pants off her and asks her out on a date and she accepts. You know that moment when you just wake up and your in that faze of still being asleep but being awake at the same time? When your oblivious to the world around you, no matter what's going on during that second in time. I've always liked that faze, I mean after all, I was in that faze for a long time. Everything was still rainbows and lollipops, everything was still happy and beautiful. The sun would be singing and the sky would be blue. Who doesn't like that faze? But you must not forget, that faze only last a second in time. That faze isn't even real, it's like your mind is playing tricks on you. Because then you wake up, for real this time. You can't fall back into lala land, that's not how it works. The clouds take over and the rain sets in, the sky fades to grey and reality hits. I know what this is like because it happened to me. Expect I wasn't in lala land for only a split second, no. I was in lala land for a much longer time. I woke up and I started to notice things that I had never noticed before because I wasn't oblivious anymore. The secrets started to show and the truth started to sink in. It was like the nightmare was overcoming the dream that I use to live in and I couldn't do a damn thing about it. I tried to run, I tried to hide. But the thing is, no matter how fast you run or how good you hide, nobody can go unnoticed for that long, you can't runaway from what hinds in the dark.
