This alternative ending is beforehand-meaning this is the cutoff where Mateo and Rufus was supposed to die but ended living out Death-Cast predictions ! Mateo is found laying in his bed alongside Rufus, who's sleeping. He ends up waking up to Mateo trying to leave the bed and go someplace..

They had two options: Ignore the note and go make out in their new hot tub; or find Vincenzo and figure out what the hell was going on. Well what else is there to say, I've pretty much lived.. I think a bit too much. Well, everything changed when I met her. I'd say I'm glad to have truly met her. ! Trigger warnings for angst, and mature topics!

They get in touch through an app designed for Deckers trying to make a last friend on their End-Day called the LastFriend app. They meet up and are fortunate to spend almost the entire day together. There were ups and downs but this will be an experience they'll never forget even if they're destined to die at the end. It's almost 9 o'clock and they're both resting in Mateo's bed back at his apartment. **highly recommend reading the book before this~ I read this book a few years ago and it instantly became my favourite. I decided to write this since the end of the book hurt like hell and this was how I dealt with the pain lmao Hopefully I caught all the mistakes when I updated it, if not, please lmk :)
