AU ending: L never died, Light went to a maximum security prison, and Misa had her memories erased. Instead of letting one of the world's greatest/evilest minds rot away in a prison cell, L takes it upon himself to dedicate the rest of his life to taking care of the former mass-killer. L sees a lot of potential in Light and believes that with time, patience, and constant supervision, he can relearn empathy and be reborn.

The introduction of a second Kira in the ongoing investigation brings with it a new addition to the task force. Watari, hoping to provide L with a fresh perspective, brings forth an individual going by 'Iris' - a friend of the recently vanished Naomi Misura. Iris, a mathematics student who was hoping to stay as far away as she could from anything to do with the Wammy's House, is now put in position where she has to assist the pursuit of a serial killer that can apparently end his victims with only a name and a face. Fun?

Light is working a minimum wage job at a cafe, when the super rich CEO L Lawliet comes to get a coffee. Light acciedently trips, and L catches him. This is an AU in which Light and L are Y/N and CEO.
