After Mateo dies, he goes to the afterlife. There he rediscovers the story of his life and Rufus, the boy he loved. Will Mateo wait for Rufus or will he explore the next life on his own? This is a "They Both Die At The End" by Adam Silvera fanfiction. It is an extended ending to the original story where the characters get to 'live' happily ever after. I loved this book so much I wanted to give the characters a happy ending. Not my image.

This story is based off of the book They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. It's an amazing book and I really recommend it! - 🌻 - Owen, a senior in New York University, is on his way to his photography club in the middle of the night when he gets a call from Death-Cast informing him of a death he'll meet at the end of 24 hours. When he arrives, he meets another senior named Alvero, who became their newest member to the photography club. They are two different people, but on that same night, Owen promised himself that if he couldn't frame the world he loved in a lifetime alone, he would picture it in a day with a boy he's never known.

It's 11:47 on Tuesday September 5th 2017. Rufus opens his eyes to see a room with nothing but and door and surrounded by white walls.

After Rufus and Mateo meet their untimely deaths, The Plutos and Lidia finally discover that they both had finally met their end of time. Unfortunately, Mateo dies first. Rufus meeting his end of time after a few hours later. We all know, they both saw it coming. 7-16-22 (update) hey guys! its been like so long since i uploaded a chapter on this story, i swear i want to finish this but i just forget this thing exists soooo yeahh. anyways what i really came to update here for is the author of the main story TBDATE, has already came up with a sequel which is called TFTDATE. sooo i dont really know if i'd wanna finish this because i don't wanna get like charged for copyright if my ff is similar to the story. so yeah guys. thanks again for the support on my ff! ill probably continue more chapters after this, cut it short in summary. thanks again guys. :) 8-10-23 (overdue update) hey! its been over a year since i have went back and checked back to this outcome of boredom, and i found myself here once again. Loved the books from They both die at the end to More happy than not & back ! Aaron's amnesia seems to have shifted the other way around. Now it's the past that's lost to him. All worries washed down the drain and out of the tap comes a newer, more pure form of happiness...Oh?

- what if instead of dying in the end, they survive? - Mateo is a 18 year old boy who was terrified of doing anything. he was so paranoid that he was going to get the death-cast alarm saying he'll die in the next 24h, that he doesn't live his life to the fullest. when death-cast calls him, and informs him he will be dying in the next 24h, he doesn't know what to do. his mom had passed, and his dad was in a coma. he only had one friend, Lidia who he was really close with. he decides to go an app called, last-friend. you would be able to contact another decker, or person, to hang out on your last day, and live it to the fullest. - Rufus is a 17 year old boy who had been brought into a foster home after his parents had died. it's only been 4 months, but he has very close friends, which they call the pluto's. he was beating up his ex girlfriends boyfriend when he received the alarm informing him that he'd be dying in the next 24h. he didn't want to believe it. he wanted to have a funeral before he left, including his ex girlfriend that had left the pluto's after some family members were able to take her in. she had broken up with him, and began dating a guy named peck. peck ran his mouth, and was saying bad things about Rufus, leading him to beat peck. unfortunately though, when aimee, pecks girlfriend, Rufus's ex, shows up to his funeral, she shows up with peck behind her. peck had called the police on him, and he had to end his funeral short. he ran away from the police, and stoped between some stores. he decides that he should check out the last-friend app considering he wouldn't be able to see his friends anytime soon. - Mateo and Rufus end up talking, and they meet up. they become close, and do many things together, opening up their true selves. they made great moments together, and thanked each other for helping them bring out who they wanted to be. they had fallen in love with each other. - [READ THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END TO UNDERSTAND BETTER FOR THE PLOT!]
