In the future, after a fatal epidemic scarred the earth, turning it into a barren wasteland, somehow, an apprentice to a great magician was one of the people who had survived the tragedy. He rebuilt life and now he is known as Father. But in doing so to recreate the world, Father sold off his own two children to fight in a battle against other youth. To keep earth the way it is, the gods take 62 children from the ages of 12-16 with extraordinary abilities and pit them against each other in an arena of magical creatures and dangers at every turn every 10 years. Siblings Mia and Eric are chosen and must fight to survive in the deadly competition.
