Karter was a pretty well known Foresic scientist. She had solved two cold cases simply by retesting and visiting the cases from years ago. It seemed as if her life revolved around science. So when the job came up for the Kira case she put in an application and went back to her current case. L had called her personally and hand picked her for his Forensic scientist.

A story about a girl who gets sucked into the underbelly of society in the days after Kira's statement, where everybody makes impulsive decisions with their newfound money. One day, she goes to an auction and sees something she just has to have. A person. *Warning: may write smut
