In the shadows of Gotham, two names begin to spread through the criminal underworld: Riper and Doctor.
Piper and Dorian are twins raised by parents who taught them that love was weakness, obedience was survival, and killing was a skill. At twelve, they turned their training against the people who created them-and became killers themselves.
Now adults, the siblings work as bounty hunters, taking contracts no ordinary assassin would touch. Riper is the relentless fighter, while Doctor has perfected the art of killing through poisons, injections, and a blade. They trust only each other, and that trust is absolute.
Then a contract worth a fortune brings them to Gotham.
The target?
Batman.
But Gotham has never been a city where one hunter is enough.
As bounty hunters begin descending upon the city, Dick Grayson goes undercover, pretending to be one of them. His goal is simple: get close to Riper and Doctor, learn who is behind the contract, and stop anyone who threatens Batman.
But the twins are far more perceptive than they pretend to be.
As Dick struggles to maintain his cover, they begin testing how far their new companion is willing to go-and whether there is anything left of his morals beneath the mask of a killer.
And somewhere in Gotham, another hunter has arrived.
Someone who knows Riper and Doctor.
Someone they once called Master Slade.
He isn't here for the money.
And unlike the twins, Batman may not be his only target.
Between deadly contracts, hidden identities, twisted loyalties, and two traumatized siblings who have never known how to be anything but weapons, Dick finds himself caught between the people he's supposed to stop and the people he's beginning to understand.
Because sometimes the most dangerous thing in Gotham isn't the person holding the weapon.
It's the person who taught them how to use it.
