In a world built on the foundation of heroism and quirks, as well as pro heroes who pride themselves on goodwill and helping others, not everyone was born to shine or saw them as gods to worship. While the world admires these guardians and relies on them for the threats to society, three street-level hero students are thrust into the limelight. Yuta Katsumi, a tragic vigilante with a will for justice, and scars that go deep through not only his body, but also his soul. Hajime Hitomi, a law student with superhuman senses who came from a fractured family and seeks to repair it and the system. Chinatsu Cho, a blunt, bitter girl with butterfly abilities and a burning desire to make a better life happen. Alongside Izuku Midoriya, the successor to the legendary All Might's legacy, they go from the darkness of the downtown, to doomsdays on the daily. They fight to protect their neighborhoods, but also give meaning to the title of 'hero' in a world that seems to see them as nothing more than celebrities with superpowers.

But when an old friend turns up on his doorstep with four words that change everything, Aiden finds himself less of a dead man walking and more of a phoenix rising from its own ashes.

Welcome all. This is going to talk about anime that could be favorites or disdained by the anime community. I will deconstruct and rate this anime based on plot, character development, interest, Scandals (if applicable.) etc.

For a hundred years, dragons have been extinct. Things have changed, however, and they have returned to purge the world with fire. By fate, a young guardsman encounters the last of the defunct Dragon Slayers, a small man with an unusual sense of style who never speaks. Together, the young guard Zatch, the Slayer, and an ever-growing team of misfits and outcasts will laugh in the face of destiny and fight the returning dragons. Standing on the sidelines are the laziest man on earth and the President of the United States who just might be the savior, the antichrist or both. Personally, I think we're doomed. ------------------------------------------------------- This is my first attempt at the Open Novella Contest where you choose a prompt and write a novella. The prompt I chose: "Heaven and Hell collide once again. The War Demons march to meet the Battle Angels in a struggle for dominance over the Human Realm." I almost chose the prompt which involved taking a cow for a walk, but come on. Battle Angels! Heck yeah. Moo!

Ahavah follows fractured lives colliding with systems that promise peace while hollowing out meaning. It asks what remains of belief when it is regulated, what remains of love when it must be justified, and what remains of the self when every instinct is taught to feel sinful. This is not a story about saving the world. It is a story about surviving the knowledge that it was built wrong. At its heart, Ahavah is about freedom-what we're told it is, what it costs, and whether it can exist at all without loneliness, rebellion, or loss. A cosmic shadow looms in the background, but the true horror lives closer: in compliance, in comfort, in the quiet decision not to ask why. Set in the decaying sprawl of New Pall City, the story follows a cast of fractured people-outcasts, skeptics, believers, addicts, idealists, and the quietly broken-each navigating their own personal wars against systems that claim to protect them while hollowing them out. Courtrooms become confessional chambers. Streets become pulpits. Conversations with strangers reveal more theology than sermons ever did. At its core, Ahavah is not about the end of the world, but about living inside one that has already ended-where faith is weaponized, desire is criminalized, freedom is commodified, and morality is enforced rather than discovered. As the characters confront love, lust, guilt, purpose, and loneliness, they are forced to ask a question more terrifying than any cosmic horror: What does freedom mean when every choice is shaped before you make it? Blending cosmic dread with social critique, Ahavah is a story about people searching for liberation-not just from the State, the Church, or the Market, but from the versions of themselves those forces created. It is a meditation on identity, rebellion, and the thin line between awakening and exile. Once seen, nothing can be unseen. Once questioned, nothing remains simple. And once freedom is pursued, it may never look the way it was promised.
