A short piece about love

Nina Dawson has spent years learning how to stay quiet, how to hide the parts of herself that hurt too much to explain. Just some poems I've written. Most of them are kinda depressing but I've found that my best writing comes from deep emotion, such as sadness, loneliness, etc.

One word could destroy their rivalry. Or start a revolution. Afreen traveled thousands of miles from the heart of Bihar to the cold, historic halls of Germany with a single mission: to become the first doctor in her middle-class family. Coming from a household of eight where education is a legacy, she didn't come for distractions, and she certainly didn't come for Sam. Sam is everything Afreen isn't-bold, American, and infuriatingly confident. Their first meeting wasn't a "meet-cute"; it was a literal collision in a corridor that left Afreen's books scattered and her temper flaring. "Are you blind?" he snapped. "What? You were the one wondering around, not me, Mr.!" she fired back. From that moment, it's war. But as the pressure of medical school reaches a breaking point in the year 2019, a chance encounter outside the classroom changes the frequency between them. In the silence of a German winter, one word from Afreen's heart echoes-a word Sam was never supposed to hear. Pyaar. Can two rivals from different worlds find a common language, or will their ambitions tear them apart?

He went everywhere with that stuffed animal that looked like him. He walked it through storms on the way to school, and he sketched crudely on the sidewalk with the stuffed animal watching. And he would whisper to it how the boys played too roughly, and how the girls had too much rivalry and jealousy. Because without it, the world was a nasty, nasty place. And so he stayed in his imagination head with the little stuffed animal that looked like him. Just Ollie and him lost in their world, away from threatening bullies and neglectful parents.
